Mr. Altabef is the Chair of the Board of Directors of Unisys Corporation, a role he has held since 2018. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Unisys from 2015 until March 2025. He also served as President of the company from 2015 to 2020 and again from December 2021 to May 2022.
Prior to his tenure at Unisys, Mr. Altabef was the President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of MICROS Systems, Inc. from 2013 until 2014, when MICROS Systems, Inc. was acquired by Oracle Corporation. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Perot Systems Corporation from 2004 until 2009, when Perot Systems was acquired by Dell, Inc. Thereafter, Mr. Altabef served as President of Dell Services (a unit of Dell Inc.) until his departure in 2011.
Mr. Altabef serves on the board of directors of NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI) and Petrus Trust Company, L.T.A. and the board of advisors of Merit Energy Company, LLC. He is also a member of the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) and a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development (CED) of The Conference Board. Mr. Altabef served as Senior Advisor to 2M Companies, Inc. in 2012 and as a director of Belo Corporation from 2011 through 2013. Mr. Altabef has served on the Board since 2015.
Mr. Altabef has more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in the information technology industry. Having led both Perot Systems Corporation and MICROS Systems, Inc., he has a proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve strong financial performance. This expertise, along with his extensive experience across the IT services and enterprise technology sectors, brings a valuable perspective to the Board as Unisys continues to strengthen its competitive and financial profile in a dynamic industry landscape.
